My pal D.J. Coffman's comic pitch HERO BY NIGHT is a top 3 finalist in the Comic Book Challenge! It's like American Idol, but for comic ideas. And with Gale Anne Hurd instead of Paula Abdul. Do your patriotic, comic-lovin' duty and GO VOTE!

SCIFI.com has two great new pilots they've recently premiered online. The one that seems to be getting all the attention is THE AMAZING SCREW ON HEAD, based on the Mike Mignola comic book. That one's awesome and a lot of fun, but for my money the most hilarious is GARETH MARENGHI'S DARKPLACE. What do you think? Go watch them both to decide for yourself, and then tell Sci Fi to put them on TV and whatnot.
