My pal D.J. Coffman's comic pitch HERO BY NIGHT is a top 3 finalist in the Comic Book Challenge! It's like American Idol, but for comic ideas. And with Gale Anne Hurd instead of Paula Abdul. Do your patriotic, comic-lovin' duty and GO VOTE! * 1 comments

Did I get that right? They're asking for my sacred email *before* even showing me what there is to vote on? My first thought was: screw that.

But at least I got to see DJ Coffman's pitch on his site, and none of the two others turned out to be significantly worse, so I guess that makes another vote for another stupid superhero. Blah. I'm sure my vote will be misinterpeted by market analysts to mean that I like that sort of stuff.

I hear that Punisher killed a bunch of superheroes with a bomb once. Good old Punisher, he's the man.
