Who DOESN'T listen to Black Music? Them Blacks make some good Music.

GASP! Filmic star Chevy Chase has written a scathing Flash diatribe in response to the so-called "Adult Swim" line-up of cartoon movies that are currently harming our children (and possibly their children's children) with their coffee-addled faggery. MUST READ. * 23 comments

Lol, that is right about Family Guy >.<

I love Adult Swim <3

That's not Chevy Chase.......and whoever it is isn't funny either.

Sdult Swim harming our children? There's a reason their lineup doesn't start until 11 at night, dude. They just want to harm the parents and leave the children's corruption up to them.

That was the stupidest shit I've ever seen.....

Lame.
Especially the Birdman part.

I have some b&w cards for National Lampoon.
"Hey."
"Remember when we did those funny original movies?"
"Yeah neither do we."

Though I do agree with their disdain of Tom Goes To Mayor. That crap needs to be cancelled.

It's not Chevy Chase. It specifically says "by John Saleeby" on the comic. Why would you say it was Chevy Chase?

"Why would you say it was Chevy Chase?"

You're new to this whole sarcasm thing, aren't you?

I personally liked the retort Adult Swim had on last night. I didn't find the Lampoons one funny at all.

I don't like Tom the Mayor, so I have to agree with that point.

I like Adult Swim. But I have DVR and just got Cartoon Network last week with said DVR and Satellite TV (Yay Dish Network!), so its all new to me.

Good grief. You know, its called "Adult" Swim for a reason. Its not for children. OMG NO REALLY?! That guy needs to chut the hell up. Adult Swim kicks ass.If he doesn't want children to watch it, then he should set parental controls on his tv. Whiney little bastard.

Yay for Adult Swim! *dances*

That was rich for a group of people who last meaningful comic achievement came about 25 years ago when John Belushi was still alive and Chevy Chase was actually funny, and not funny in the ironic sense, like if I say "Wow, that Chevy Chase is funny."

That was sort of funny. I'm not sure why people would get offended by it.
There was something that Adult Swim did before the bumps that I liked better and I can't remember what it was.

I'm an Adult Swim fan, but kind of liked that whole spoof thing... it wasn't very clever, and was kinda boring, but they have a point.

Really, the only thing I like about adult swim is the shows, those freakin B&W cards get so annoying. Plus they're hard to read when I'm just layin' without my glasses on watchin TV...

and Harvey Birdman sucks.... I agree with their bashing of that show. Stick with Futurama, Family
Guy, The Venture Brothers, Sealab, Aqua Teen and the Anime...

most of that sounds like something adult swim would have said about themselves, didn't seem too scathing to me.

I think that somehow it just isn't clicking in their heads that despite the obvious hints in the title, the timeslot, the parental advisory warnings, and the content itself, that there are 'cartoons' for adults. They've fallen into a pattern where they think that just because they see animation on the screen out of the corner of their eye, that it must be okay for their kids because it's a 'cartoon'.

Well, this issue has been done to death since before I finished high-school, so I'll just assume that you've all heard it all before and be quick. Parents just can't afford to be so lax these days, it's that simple.

Family Guy is okay, since I don't often have the luxury to stay up and watch it every night, I guess. Birdman... well, if you're amused by parody and low-brow humour, watch it once, then forget about it. As for the anime, I'm a bit of a purist - I can't stand dubs.

That's all... Good-night, and put the damned kids to bed please? I can't stand all your bitching about what I watched first thing the next day...

Y'know i agree with most of what they say there and to be perfectly honest, thats what i love about Adult Swim. They do lots of stupid shit. Marijuana helps too. Except Tom Goes to the Mayor. They can burn in faggot hell. Just kidding.[azurecharade]

really does sound like something themselves would say, if they didnt have to watch whut they say. Chevy chase, John salaaby, who gives damn... Also B&W cards were never really funny in the first place. and finally kids watch AS, I'm the appropraite age to watch these shows, but ive been watching it for a couple years now.

Gotta love Adult Swim. I just miss Sealab 2021-- like FIRST SEASON Sealab, when it was funny.

Uh... huh. o_o

I thought the guy for the NL thing was kinda funny but at least he could have done the whole sound loop thing. I love adult swim though, I think birdman is hilarious. Tom Goes to the Mayor does need to burn though.(Yay Robot Chicken!)

I like how the shows are so all-or-nothing. One person says, 'they are rock but Space Ghost' and another says, 'are you shitting me? Space Ghost rocks!'

I think as did a bump about that, actually. That was funny.

Personaly, I love Harvey and first season Brak and Venture Bros and Robot Chicken, but am pretty nuetral twards the rest. 'Cept I do not like TGttM very much at all. The christmas special was pretty funny though.

Tom goes to the mayor, is just unwatchable. I can't see how that is still on.

I consider it fairly ironic that in the second round of their "attack" on Adult Swim that they would make fun of the mail they got from fans of Adult Swim for swearing when that's all they did in their little satire.(Ah, fans. Something 'Poon hasn't had in thirty years.) But I'm sure SOMEONE out there enjoyed their use of swears, racial profiling, and pure hate. That person is:The Ghost of Adolf Hitler.
