Gay or not, he's still the first president to lose jobs in, I think, 27 years. He, with help from Iraq, took the U.S. from a budget surplus, to a budget deficit of almost 450 billion dollars. Also with the help of Iraq, he's cost many people their lives American, and otherwise.

What I think is sad is that there used to be a time when I took pride in voting durring a presidential election. I felt that my vote counted, that I was doing my part as a proud american to vote for who I think is best. After seeing this years debates, commercials, and member emails from both sides, I am Ashamed! What have we come down to when instead of standing up for our issues, we're too busy backstabing the other candidate? I know it's always happened but I've never seen them sink as low as this year. You know I was reading the response of a right-wing homosexual group to the Cheney's anger over Kerry's remarks in regards to their daughter. It seems that they feel the Cheneys really ought to be angry with Bush; after all, he's been demonizing homosexuals for over a year now. If anyone made homosexual an issue in this campaign, it's the conservatives trying to amend the Constitution. The left has done nothing but provide support for the needs and rights of the homosexual community.

Before I begin, I would like to state that I am in fact a conservative. I’d also like to mention that I can agree with Kerry on some points, despite me being a “right wing nut job”.
While I am voting for Bush, and not because my family is or my family has, because in fact some are not, the implication that is why I am voting for bush is highly offensive, immature, and an uneducated comment.
But then, I have to consider how most people vote, uneducated. Instead of learning the facts and learning what “lies” are being told during debates they simply take what words are being crammed down their throats. Yes both parties lie, unfortunately that’s part of what they do. It is YOUR job to find the answers, which is fairly easy to do considering the internet… and factual locations, not just any idiot that can type, can be found.
Also, truly look at what all of you are saying. While I generally disagree with liberalist and actually cannot even fathom what goes on through that gray mass we refer to as a brain, there are few that I can actually get along with.
However, when I came here expecting at least a shred of maturity I seem to find it lacking in most of these posts. And mind you most of them are liberals speaking…. I’d also assume, whether that’s a wise thing to do, that most of you are of the voting age or above (18+, I myself being 19.) and that you would have the maturity within you to post mature, and inoffensive post. Which again, I find lacking in this thread.
Is this the message you want to send to others? Is this the image you want placed upon liberals? Honestly, suck it up, grow up and set a good example for your party.

He is purposefully driving up the deficit; he did not want a surplus, which was caused not by to much taxation but by the bubble. You can see evidence about this in education, law enforcement, health care, and the list goes on.
The war in Iraq is about recovering the family jewels and creating a vacuum to continue the down ward spiral our economy (which if you believe it is recovering you even a bigger idiot because the figures they use are unemployeement and the stockmarket which are horribly missleading) than Sadam who duh was a bad guy but Zimbabwe is twenty times worse but instead of a oil kingdom was the breadbasket of southern Africa, and there lies our lack of interest.

The assumptions? From what I've seen, there's been Bush-bashing long since before, so isn't it only natural to think that it was intended as an insult?
Also, the "Not that there's anything wrong with that" part is a reference to Seinfeld. Somehow, I don't think that it's meant to soften the blow, but rather to add a bit of sarcasm to it. That may just be my opinion, however.
But to me and many others, it makes no sense to use "It is gay" as a derogatory term, no matter the circumstances. When used on inanimate objects, the adjective "gay" has no meaning, as "happy" and "homosexual" cannot apply to inanimate objects in the first place.
When used on people in this manner, it becomes nothing more than an empty attack. Obviously, if one is talking in a negative fashion without knowing for certain the sexual orientation (or state of happiness) of the person... there must be a larger issue.
Rather than saying "He's so gay", one might say "He's so stupid", or "I don't like him", or even "I hate that motherfucking cockbite". All of those are relevant to the point being made whereas "He's happy" or "He's homosexual" rarely make any sense in context.

Someone wasn't paying attention in their social studies classes. We have this funny system in the United States, its called the electoral college. Each state gets a certain number of votes, based on their population. Each vote does not neccesarily count. If you vote for bush, and your state gives its electoral votes to kerry, your vote does nothing except give statistics. Therefore, you're not negating anything.

Since this is obviously not intended to be a serious discussion, I would like to mention a comparison my GF made. Has anyone else noticed that George 'Dubya' not only looks simian, but also rants and talks in circles, saying the same thing a thousand different ways (like we will start to agree with him somehow), much like Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls? Then there's also the total lack of common sense and delusions of grandeur, of course. Finally, if 'Dubya' is Mojo, does that make the Dixie Chicks the PPG's? Damn, this election is stupid...

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind. I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president I was secure and prosperous, but in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor. This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions. They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job. This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years. Not a single government program was there to help me. How can Bush call himself "compassionate"?
Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich.
My pain of losing my sons is indescribable. While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply have nothing left.
How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career. I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush. And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested.
Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a Christian! If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democrat Party. If Al Gore had been elected in 2000 I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!
