Owen says hello and opens yap.
Posted By Owen at 2:56 PM
Hi everyone, Owen here. This is my first blog entry for all y'all. I gotta tell you that I don't honestly keep up with politics myself, outside of watching the Daily Show with Jon Stewart that is. In any case, I'm gonna keep my yap shut on the subject of politics if that's cool.
The subjects I AM informed about are as follows: movies, videogames, books, comics and music.
Anything else is completely unknown to me.
So a quick rundown from me.
Movies-- I haven't seen anything in ages. I'm always up for a new Coen Bros. flick though, so I'd love to hit Ladykillers forthwith.
I'm not totally sold on Jersey Girl, but I'm all about supporting the Kev Smith like any good comics fan should.
I cannot wait for Hellboy though. That movie is packed full of nerdly goodness.
Videogames-- The last game I was deep into was Xenosaga. It's old I know, but I just got my hands on it recently. Not quite Final Fantasy good but a solid RPG all the same.
If I had an Xbox I'd be playing Knights of the old republic and Ninja Gaiden.
If I had a Game Cube I'd be waiting for Resident Evil 4.
I'll get into PS2 games later.
Books-- The last good book I read was Yann Martel's "The Life of PI". It's a hard book to follow. Everything I start reads like crap. Must hit bookstore.
Comics-- Ed Brubaker's and Sean Phillip's "Sleeper" is super tight. The prequel "Point Blank" with Colin Wilson is also fantastic. I'm too poor to buy all the comics I want. It's tragic.
Music-- A bud leant me Radiohead's "hail to the Thief". I thought I had outgrown radiohead but I was wrong. It's all about song 6. I've also been listening to the new Buck 65 disk. It's like Tom Waits doing hip hop. Hilarious. I need the new Dashboard, Deathcab, and Stills disks but like I say,
I'm poor. (sob).
Thanks gang, more soon.
